Located in Costa Mesa, The Healing Gardens of Ayurveda continues to fulfill its mission of bringing value to the community. It's latest offering is a new yoga studio, YogaShala, which offers customized yoga classes based on individual body constitutions according to the ancient science of Ayurveda. The classes provide a holistic healing experience for the physical and spiritual self through not only specific yoga postures but guided meditation and live music. The classes are designed to create balance within the self in a spiritually rich environment. Yoga clients are experiencing yoga sessions that cooperate with their personal constitutions and bring greater internal and external harmony to their practice. Each individual is pre-screened by the experienced team of Dr. Ram Tamang and Sujata Shah to determine your specific body constitution and imbalances. Recommendations are then made for the most appropriate yoga class.
The yoga instructors are highly experienced and experts in various forms of yoga . Under the amazing directorship of Simon "Karta" Ballard, the instructor team includes Holly Reed and Mathew Spencer. Well known vocalist and core team member of The Healing Gardens Dipali Singh lends her vocals to create an ambience of deep spirituality.
The one day opening was marked with demonstrations of yoga poses for specific body types in sync with live chanting. On-site consultations with the yoga teachers, Ayurvedic & holistic practitioners and free body constitution analysis were also done. Freshly cooked Ayurveda-based food was served all day. The YogaShala studio itself is designed to address each body type using colors that depict the three main body types of Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The studio was jam-packed with yogis and non-yogis alike. The Healing Gardens of Ayurveda plans to make these open house events a monthly practice as part of their mission to make the unique benefits of the YogaShala accessible to the community. The first Introduction to AyurYoga is on February 28th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.. The entire community is welcome to attend. Please come and gain a deeper understanding of AyurYoga. This is a free event with demonstrations. The Healing Gardens can be contacted at 949 515 4855.
